MHARES/RACES provide a communication link between inter-city and inter-county via amateur radio. MHARES/RACES were instrumental in maintaining communications during the recent Verizon incident and the Morgan Hill flood of 2008. Amature radio provides a reliable and accurate means of information exchange incorporating voice and digital packet transmission.
Our mission is to establish and maintain the leadership and organizational infrastructure necessary to provide amateur radio communications in support of emergency management entities.
